Settings > Auction Settings
Enable Proxy Bidding > Proxy bidding works where the winning bidder pays the price of the second-highest bid plus a defined increment, instead of their maximum bid. Wikipedia explanation.
Enable Custom Start Date > Users can set a custom start date for auctions.
Enable Custom Increments > Users can set custom bid increments for their auctions (this is the minimum difference between two bids). If this is set to "yes" then please ensure that you have defined the increments. This can be found at Settings > Settings > Bid Increments.
Hours until auction ends count-down > Hours remaining on an auction until the time remaining becomes an automatic countdown timer. One would generally set this to 24 hours.
Additional Auction Options
Enable Featured Items > Allows sellers to make their auctions featured on the homepage and category pages. If you are planning on charging sellers listing fees and include a cost for "Home page featured fee" then this setting needs to be set to "Yes".
Enable Highlighted Items > Allows sellers to make their auctions highlighted (displayed listing in a different colour in search results etc). If you are planning on charging sellers listing fees and include a cost for "Highlighted item fee" then this setting needs to be set to "Yes".
Enable Bold Items > Allows sellers to make their auctions bold (displayed listing in bold in search results etc). If you are planning on charging sellers listing fees and include a cost for "Bold item fee" then this setting needs to be set to "Yes".
Enable subtitles > Allows sellers to add a subtitle to their auction which will appear on all auction lists. If you are planning on charging sellers listing fees and include a cost for "Subtitle Fee" then this setting needs to be set to "Yes".
Enable Secondary Category > Allows sellers to add their auction to multiple categories. If you are planning on charging sellers listing fees and include a cost for "Extra category fee" then this setting needs to be set to "Yes".
Enable Auto-Relist > Allow users to automatically re-list auctions if they end without a winner. If you are planning on charging sellers listing fees and include a cost for "Re-list fee" then this setting needs to be set to "Yes".
Max Re-lists > Set the maximum times an auction can be automatically re-isted.
Auction extension settings
Enable Auctions Auto extension > Auctions Auto extension gives you the ability to automatically extend the auctions end time by X seconds, if someone bids in the last Y seconds of the auctions duration. If setting is set to "Yes" then enter the values: Extend auction by nnn seconds if someone bids during the last nnn seconds.
Photo Gallery
Enable Picture Gallery > Allows sellers to be able to upload multiple pictures to their auction.
Max. Number of pictures > Enter the maximum number of pictures sellers can upload for their auction listing.
Max. pictures size > Enter the maximum allowed size (in Kbytes) of the pictures sellers can upload for each auction. We suggest that pictures should not exceed 5MB in size.
Thumbnail size > This is the size of the thumbnail that will appear on lists of auctions such as when a user does a search. We suggest that the optimum size is 230 pixels. We recommend pictures to be of a 4 x 3 ratio.
Gallery photo max size > Set the maximum width or height a photo can be if it is over this size it will be resized. We suggest a maximum width of 1,500 pixels.
Video Gallery
Video can be an important resource for sellers and buyers alike. Auction-Pro has the ability to let sellers upload video(s) together with their auction lots. Therefore, we have teamed up with low cost Bunny.Net which is a Content Delivery Network.
Enable Video Gallery? Allows sellers to be able to upload video to their auction.
Yes /No. Select yes if you wish to activate the ability to upload videos.
Bunny API Key: Get your stream API key from Bunny.Net and enter it here.
Bunny Video Library ID: Enter the video library ID here.
Gallery video max sizeMax. video size to specify maximum allowed size (in mega-bytes) of all the videos sellers can upload for each auction. Set the maximum size you allow here.
About Benny.Net
Once you have set up an account with Bunny.Net, set up a stream in which you want a lot's video stored. The specific stream you have set up will be assigned a ID and a Stream API key. Both are required for the correct set up for video uploads.
