Settings >> Spam settings
reCaptcha public key > To use reCaptcha you must create a free account with Google reCAPTCHA and add this domain to a key pair. You also need to define the "Recaptcha secret key". An example of the reCaptcha anti spam challenge is shown below.
Captcha type on registration page > Captcha are used to prevent spam and it is generally a good idea to enable some sort of captcha. The options are: None, Image and reCaptcha (as shown above). The "image" option bypasses having to register with Google for a reCaptcha account and an example is shown below.
Captcha type on send auction to friend page > The options are: None, Image and reCaptcha. We suggest that you choose either reCaptcha or Image for all of these settings to promote uniformity throughout the site.
Captcha type on item report page > The options are: None, Image and reCaptcha. The report item page is triggered from the item listing page as shown below.
Enable block email domains > Options: Enable Disable.
Deny registration from disposable emails. If the above setting is enabled, then the domains you want blocked must be listed in the box.
Suggestion
We believe that the threshold for users registering on your should be as low as possible. Therefore we suggest you only enable anti spam settings once you start experiencing spam activity on your site.
