Fees

There are four types of Fees that can be charged by the admin:

User Signup Fee

Auction Fees

Buyer Fees

Seller Fees

The User Signup Fee and Auction Fees have to be paid for by the user to the admin through the admin's designated payment gateway.

If a buyer's fee is defined, you have two options on how the fees and winning bid are paid. In Default Process Mode, the buyer's fee is paid to the admin through the admin designated payment gateway and the seller is being paid directly by the buyer for the winning bid. In Superadmin receives all payments mode, the buyer pays for the buyer's fee (if applicable) AND the winning bid amount in one fell swoop to the Admin through the admin designated payment gateway. The seller will be paid by bank transfer for the winning bid value plus shipping, minus any seller's fees that may have been set up by the admin.

User Signup Fee

Firstly there is the optional User Signup Fee. This fee is charged to anyone who registers on your Auction-Pro hosted site if an amount is specified as per example below. To not charge a Signup Fee, simply leave the Fee Amount blank.

The fee incurred by the user for signing up needs to be paid before the user has full access to the auction site. This is being paid via the payment gateway to the admin.

Auction Fees

There are two types of optional auction fees. Firstly there are fees which are charged when a seller lists an auction item. These include:

Auction Setup Fee

The Auction Setup Fee.

The Fee can be raised based on a percentage of the starting price of an auction item or a fixed amount. In the example above, the starting price between £0.01 and £500 would be charged 1%. You can add further price brackets, e.g. from £500.01 to £1,000. If you were to assign that 0.5% and the starting price is £1,000 of the item being listed, the Auction Setup Fee would be calculated as follows: The first £500 costs £5 (1% of £500) and the second £500 is charged at 0.5%; £2.50 thus the total Auction Setup Fee would be £7.50.

Reserve Price Fee

If the seller sets a reserve price, you can charge a fixed price fee for that.

Home Page Featured Fee
